UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Admission to all
three years undergraduate degree programmes of Banasthali University is based on merit of Senior
Secondary Certificate examination (for the purpose of preparation of merit the
marks from various Boards are normalized) except for admission to BCA, BBA and
B.Ed. where Aptitude tests are conducted.
Duration :
B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Sc. (Home Sc.)/ BCA/ BBA -3 Years (six semester), B.Ed.-1 Year
Minimum Eligibility
B.A.
(Pass/Hons.) : Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of
Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto
with Arts/Science /Home-science.
B.Sc. (Pass/Hons.) (Mathematics Group) : 60% aggregate in Senior
Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognised
by Banasthali University/ as equivalent thereto with Mathematics
B.Sc. (Pass) (Life Sciences) : 55% aggregate in Senior School
Certificate Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by
Banasthali
University as equivalent there to with science Biology.
B.Sc. (Home Sc.) : Senior Secondary School Certificate
Examination of Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali
University/ as
equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks.
BCA : 60% aggregate in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of
Banasthali or an examination recognized by Banasthali University/ as equivalent
thereto.
BBA : Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Banasthali or
an examination recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent thereto.
B.Tech. (CSE/EC/IT/BT/CE) :
60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics (PCM)
B.Pharm. : 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology (PCB)
B.Ed./B.Ed.(Enriched) :
Female candidate with atleast
45% aggregate marks in their three years bachelor's Degree/ or Master's Degree
from
Banasthali or a University recognized by Banasthali University as equivalent
thereto
NOTE : For SC/ST
candidates the minimum aggregate percentage required is 40% in all the courses
above.

Courses: Entrepreneurship, Library Science, Dress Making, Computer Programming &
Applications, Analytical Laboratory Practice.
Note: It is mandatory for the students to participate in at least one of
the activities listed under the five fold education programme of
Banasthali.
For admission to B.A. the three elective subjects are to be chosen by selecting
only one from the following subject groups in the first year

Music, Home Science, Physical Education.
For
B.Sc. (Pass/Hons.) Maths group: The subject combinations available are :

D. Mathematics, Electronics, Physcis
E. Mathematics, Physics, Statistics
For B.Sc. (Pass/Hons.) Life Sciences group: The
subject combinations available are :
A. (Bio-Science)- Chemistry, Zoology, Botany
B. (Biotechnology)- Biotechnology, Chemistry, Zoology/ Botany
B.Sc. Home Science (Pass/Hons.): The following three
specialization are available:
A. Clothing & Textiles
B. Foods Science & Nutrition
C. Human Development
Banasthali
University offers Honours in the B.A./ B.Sc. courses. The student desirous of
taking admission in B.A./ B.Sc. honours in a subject has to drop one of the
three electives after the first year of the three years degree course. For B.Sc.
(Home Science) Honours one group has to be dropped after two years of the three
years degree course.
NOTE :

Banasthali
University reserves the rights not to offer a subject/ honours in any of the
subject.

The students
opting for Drawing and Music have to pass an aptitude test.

Mathematics and
Statistics can only be opted if the student has studied Mathematics as an
elective at 10+2 level.
