                    As the world of education is coming near to the world of 
					business, there’s an emergent need to acquaint the students 
					with the emerging business trends. With this vision, IBM 
					took the initiative of ‘Centre of Excellence’ to be 
					established in colleges to reach the student fraternity in 
					every corner of the country and impart in them, the 
					knowledge of software and technologies they use at their 
					place of work and to realize them what ‘excellence’ is 
					about. 
					 
					On the auspicious day of 13th October, 2010, Honorable Vice 
					Chancellor of Banasthali University, Prof. Aditya Shastri 
					signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) about IBM Software 
					Centre of Excellence with Dr. S. Chandrashekhar, Vice 
					President HR, IBM (India/South Asia). On the same day, 
					Banasthali University witnessed the inaugural of ‘IBM 
					Software Centre of Excellence’. 
					 
					IBM stands as the formative pedestal to identify the greater 
					problems of mankind and applies technical and management 
					competency in finding solutions to emancipate them. 
					Banasthali University similarly works on the spirit of the 
					application of science and technology for the betterment of 
					society. The collaboration among the two will make the world 
					a better place, than we found it. 
					 
					The occasion started with the arrival of eminent guests Dr. 
					S Chandrasekhar, Vice President & Head- Human Resource 
					(India/South Asia) IBM, Mr. Himanshu Goyal Country Head 
					(India/South Asia) IBM, and Mr. Mayank Jha, Relationship 
					Manager, IBM. They were welcomed by Honorable Vice 
					Chancellor Prof. Aditya Shastri, Dr. Seema Verma Coordinator 
					IBM CoE (Banasthali), Faculty Members and an enthusiastic 
					group of senior students. 
					 
					Dr. S Chandrasekhar has shared his secrets of a successful 
					life. He praised the efforts and hospitality of people at 
					Banasthali. He told that now-a-days, the students have a 
					much privileged life that takes away from them the fire or 
					passion to achieve something in life. He stressed to instill 
					in students, a crave to do something different and to climb 
					new frontiers. He encouraged a highly interactive and 
					collaborative interaction, where students exchanged their 
					ideas and clarified their doubts about the corporate world 
					and the lessons of life that could be learnt from such an 
					eminent veteran. Students felt an everlasting experience and 
					got to learn a lot from him. He also announced the series of 
					workshops that IBM CoE will be having for the students in 
					coming days.  
					 
					Speaking on the occasion of inauguration of IBM CoE at 
					Banasthali Vidyapith and signing MoU (Memorandum of 
					Understanding) with Dr. S. Chandrashekhar, Vice President 
					HR, IBM (India/South Asia) on 13th October, 2010, Prof. 
					Aditya Shastri (Vice Chancellor) said “With a vision to 
					acquaint the students with the emerging business trends, 
					Banasthali Vidyapith has taken the initiative of 
					establishing IBM ‘Centre of Excellence’ to impart in them, 
					the knowledge of software and technologies they use at their 
					place of work and to realize them what ‘excellence’ is 
					about. IBM stands as the formative pedestal to identify the 
					greater problems of mankind and applies technical and 
					management competency in finding solutions to emancipate 
					them. Banasthali University similarly works on the spirit of 
					the application of science and technology for the betterment 
					of society. We are sure that our efforts with the best minds 
					at IBM will help our young brains nurture industry-ready 
					skills.”
