ORIENTATION PROGRAM OF UDAAN
UDAAN-A Desire to Fly
“Stand in faith……..Just Know when you truly want to succeed you’ll never give up on it” with these inspiring thoughts, Orientation programme of UDAAN was organised by MBA III semester students of WISDOM on 31st July, 2013. UDAAN symbolizes new wave of optimism and desire to fly to achieve success. The session began with the enlightenment of lamp with enchantment of “ Shubham Karoti Kalyaanam , Aaarogyam Dhana Sampada , Shatru Buddhi Vinaashaya , Deep Jyoti Namostute.”
An inspiring speech was given by Prof. Harsh Purohit, Dean-WISDOM. His words were “UDAAN is a motivation which symbolizes efforts for achievements to advance pinnacles of glory, success from all directions to achieve joy, independence in our life. After this the students gave introduction about their groups by mentioning about their team’s achievements of last Udaan sessions. Different teams of UDAAN are – Aaarohan, Achievers, Ambition, Lakshya, Pace makers, Phoenix, Sarthak Prayas and Sparkles.
Finally, the students of I semester voted for their respective choices of team after judging the presentation of different teams and finally the teams were formed. Orientation programme ended up with the enchantment of WISDOM song.
Event of UDAAN Organized by: ACHIEVERS ( 14th AUGUST 2013)
“Zindagi ki udaan abhi baaki hai” with these thoughts in mind, first event of UDAAN was organized by ‘Achievers’ on 14th August 2013.The session truly called ‘Youngistan ki Udaan’ as it create a new wave of optimism & success. The session started with the introductory speech given by the PM of achievers who motivated the participants with her words ‘How successful you are, it depends on the attitude you keep’.. There were four rounds of different disciplines on -HR, Marketing, Finance and General Awareness. The first round was ‘Finqualla’ for Finance and Aviation, in this round each participant was asked five questions regarding finance and aviation. Lakshya was the winner in this round. The second round was ‘Yeasty Genius’ for marketing, in this round the participants were given a company in which they have to redesign its product through PPT. Under this round, the winners were Ambition and the redesign product was Magnum ice-cream, second position went to Sarthak Prayas and their product was Dabur capsico sauce and third position by Pacemaker and their product was bingo puffcorn. The third round was ‘Skill Drill’ for HR, in this round the students were given random topics in which they have to represent the idea relating to some companies trends and the winner of this round was Sarthak Prayas. In between the rounds some filler were there for entertaining the audience. The last round was Awareness Bonanza in which the whole team was participants as one and they were asked with two questions on current affairs and the winner was Pacemaker. Finally, the results were announced by the judges regarding their performances. The first position was secured by ‘Phoenix’, and second position by ‘Lakshya’ and ‘Sarthak Prayas’. At last, the session ended with the documentary on Independence Day and enchantment of WISDOM song.
Event of UDAAN Organized by AAROHAN (11th SEPTEMBER, 2013)
The session of UDAAN was conducted by “AAROHAN” group on 11th September 2013.The session started with the motivational thought of the Permanent Member of Aarohan-‘If you want something you have never had, you must be willing to do something you have never done.’ The theme of the UDAAN this time was ‘Business Hour’-Willing to take chance. Then there was a documentary on the ‘entrepreneur skills-this was based on quality with determination’.
The session comprised three rounds. Round 1 –‘Insight’, Round 2 –‘Mind blend’ and Round 3 –‘Advanced Awareness’. In round 1 –‘INSIGHT’ there were slide presentation on business plan by M.B.A 2nd year students, in this round the 1st position was scored by ‘Sarthak Prayas’ their business plan was on ‘Elegant restroom-A class above’, 2nd position was secured by ‘Ambition’ with business plan on ‘Bakers at midnight’, and 3rd position was followed by ‘Phenoix’ with business plan on ‘Suvidha’-We make what we deserve. The next round was ‘Mind Blend’, in this round participant were M.B.A 1st year. This round was comprises of QUIZ based on ‘economic data’. The winner`s of this round were ‘Pheonix’ with the 1st position, followed by ‘Pacemaker’ on the 2nd and ‘Ambition’ on the 3rd position. The last round was ‘Advanced Awareness’-under this round the audience of different-different groups took part. In this the maximum marks were obtained by ‘Lakshya and Pacemaker’. The winner of UDAAN session was announced as ‘Pacemaker’ with 1st position and 2nd position was shared by ‘Ambition and Sarthak Prayas’. Hence it’s said-“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what make life meaningful”. At last, the session ended with enchantment of WISDOM song.
Event of UDAAN Organized by SPARKLES (25th SEPTEMBER, 2013)
The session of UDAAN was conducted by “SPARKLES” group on September 25th, 2013. “Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.”
The third session began with the lines “to be remarkable, do something that matters.” The first round was “MISNORMER” which implies something foolish, illogical and comic. In this round, the students were asked to perform skit, advertising any uncommon products. Phoenix advertised “Mr. Drop” a washing powder which can change the color of clothes, Achievers advertised “ Hillora Comb” and Pacemakers “Walking Alarm Clock” and secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in this round respectively. The second round was “NOVIZIO” .It was a rapid fire round in which each team has to answer four questions related to foreign trade policy within 20 seconds. In this round, the first position was secured by ‘Lakshya’, second by ‘Saarthak Prayas’ and third by ‘Pacemakers’. And then in the middle of session, to entertain the audience, fillers were introduced in which a round called funalogy was conducted. Audiences had to answer few questions based on parental relations. The third round was “G-TALK”, it was a group discussion round .There were three topics for this round. They were – “Depreciation of Indian Rupee has Negative Impact on Economy”, “Gold Investment by Indians- Is it Good or Bad?” and “ Nuclear Arsenal is no Longer a Deterrence but Threat to Human Race” .Judges randomly picked up the topic “ Gold Investment by Indians “ for the round. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders in this round were Achievers, Aarohan, and Phoenix respectively. The last round was “AUDIENCE AWARENESS” in which 2 questions of current news were asked to the audience of each team. Phoenix was the winner in this round. Overall results were- Phoenix (1st) with 243.5 points, Achievers (2nd) with 203 points Ambition (3rd) with 196 points.
Event of UDAAN Organized by AMBITION (9th OCTOBER, 2013)
The session of UDAAN was conducted by “AMBITION” group on October 9th, 2013. ‘A person without Ambition is like a boat without rudder. Having an ambition needs continued efforts towards achieving it’ with these thoughts in mind this was one of the most endeavor UDAAN sessions. The documentary theme was ‘Victory of Good over Evil’ along with management lessons. There were 3 rounds. The 1st round was again divided into 3 rounds. The first was quiz round named ‘Brand Brawl’ in which the participants were asked about the brand names through ppt. The second round was Plug into Your Mind in which 2 questions were asked to each team based on social networking sites and e-commerce. The third round was Hook up with the world, in this the participants has to answer the questions based on SAAARC and ASEAN countries .Both the 2nd and 3rd round contain negative marking. The winners were Achievers, Sarthak Prayas and Sparkles respectively. And then in the middle of session, to entertain the audience, fillers were introduced, in which audiences had to answer few questions .The 2nd round was ‘Utility Creator’ in this round the participants were asked to utilize the waste material .All the teams shows the maximum utilization and created the products like techno car junior, utility basket, decorative lamp etc. The winners were Pacemaker, Sparkles and Achievers respectively. The last round was Audience Awareness in which the questions related with current affairs were asked to the audience. Overall results were – Achievers -1st , Sarthak Prayas-2nd and Pacemakers-3rd positions.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME OF AAGMAN
An orientation session of AAGMAN was conducted on Aug. 10, 2013 by the students of BBA 3rd year for BBA 2nd year students in order to make them aware of what AAGMAN is, what are the duties and responsibilities related to it, how many teams are there and what is the basis of becoming a part of a particular team. Students were explained about the various events that are included in the sessions of AAGMAN. For every team there was a permanent member and 2 group representatives. They presented their teams and tried to convince the 2nd year students to join their team. Then 2nd year students were asked to put the slip on which their names were written in the box of the team they want to be a part of. The teams were AAGAM, ABHIGAMAN, ABHIVYAKTI, AUSPICIOUS, ARRIVALS, AKSHARARAMBH and AARAMBH. In the end, Ms. Priyanka Tyagi encouraged the organizers of the session and wished all a good luck. And lastly, the session was concluded with the WISDOM song.
Event of AAGMAN Organized by AAGAM (18th SEPTEMBER, 2013)
The session was conducted by team Aagam on Sep. 18th 2013. It was the first session of Aagman which was organized collectively by BBA III year and BBA II year. Session started with warm welcome of judges and faculty by Naina Sharma, the permanent member of team Aagam. The entire session was focused on theme ‘Politics’. Various activities were conducted like Role Play, Quiz, Group discussion, Fillers. The rest six teams of Aagman participated. First round was Role play in which effects of politics in different areas were shown by the participants. Team Abhigaman stood first in Role play. Role play was the centre of attraction which was based on the topics given to the teams. Second round was Group discussion and the topic was ‘Are Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi only options for Prime Ministerial Post’? Team Arrivals stood first and the last round was Quiz based on overall Indian Politics. Team Akshrarambh stood first in this round. After the completion of all the rounds, result was announced and Team Akshrarambh, Abhigaman and Aarambh stood First, Second and Third respectively. Gifts were given to the winning teams. The session was concluded by the words of appreciation from teachers about the session and it ended with enchantment of WISDOM song.
Event of AAGMAN Organized by ABHIGAMAN (11th OCTOBER, 2013)
The session was conducted by team Abhigaman on October 11th 2013 .It was the second session of Aagman. Session started with welcome of judges and faculty by Shruti Mishra and Apoorva Kataria, the group representative of team Abhigaman. The entire session was focused on theme ‘Business Frauds.’ Various activities were conducted like Skit, Quiz and Games. The rest six teams of Aagman participated. First round was skit in which participants tried to show the big national scams given to them. Team Arrivals stood first in skit. Second round was Quiz which was on the Top 20 National and 5 top International scams. Team Auspicious stood first in Quiz. Then the last round was of Game and team Akshrarambh stood first. After the activities overall result was announced and Team Akshrarambh, Auspicious and Aagam secured First, Second and Third positions respectively. Gifts were given to the winning teams. The session was concluded by the words of appreciation from teachers about the session and it ended with enchantment of WISDOM song.
