About The Department

The Master of Science programme was started in 1995 under the “Emerging Areas Scheme”- a joint scheme of Department of Electronics and University Grants Commission. Currently PG Diploma in VLSI since 2007 & Master of Technology VLSI  since 2004 are offered. The Engineering programme in Electronics & Communication is started since 2007. The Department also offers Ph.D programme in various areas of Communication, Signal processing and Instrumentation The Department receives technical support from CEERI Pilani, CSIO Chandigarh & Ministry of Information & Technology. 
The Department of Electronics has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, and is involved in providing quality education and research in the field. The syllabi of the courses are continuously updated and the laboratories modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology.

Training & Placement

The B.Tech (EC) and M.Sc.(EL) have a six months and M.Tech (VLSI) has ten months University-Industry-Linkage project as apart of curriculum. This provides students industrial exposure. The programme have been receiving active cooperation from leading organization like TCS, Infosys, HCL, MCIT, CEERI Pilani, CSIO Chandigarh, NPL Delhi and BARC. All renewed companies in field of Electronics and VLSI Visit regularly for Campus placement of students.
