About Us
Department of Geography has been newly introduced and has begun
teaching from July 2008 at Undergraduate level. The department has a
Laboratory equipped with facilties for giving practical training in
Geography methodology. The syllabus for Bachelor's degree course is
given 'Undergraduate Programme' of this prospectus. This syllabus
conforms with syllabi taught at leading Universities in India.
Presently Department is running three semesters as II sem., IV Sem.
and VI sem. in which 86, 89 and 37 students respectively. Central
Library of Banasthali University have large collection of books on
Geography by eminent authors including some rare books. Large number
of Maps, Atlases have been kept for reference. Modern aids like
Power Point Projection by Computer are available as support for
teaching in the class. Models for Understanding the various
Geographical Earth features are utilized. The faculty of Geography
comprises of experienced professor and lecturers. The laboratory
work is assisted by a qualified Laboratory Assistants while students
perform practical under the guidance of the faculty members.
