M. Phil (Economics/History/Political Science/Sociology)

Eligibility:

Master Degree in one of the Social Science disciplines from Banasthali or a recognized examination equivalent thereto with aggregate of equal to or more than 55% or B.A. with atleast 48% aggregate followed by MA with atleast 48% aggregate. For SC/ST the aggregate required is 40% in both the above courses.  

It has Special features :
1. Interdisciplinarity
2. Equal Emphasis on Pedagogy and Research Methods and Practical training.
3. Scheme of continuous evaluation based on regular internal assessment and annual examination.


In all there will be eight courses divided into three groups A, B and C. Four courses are compulsory (Group A) and Four optional selected from Group B and C. Atleast one course of one group and not more than three from the other remaining groups will be offered. The choice of courses to be kept under Group B and C will be made keeping in view the needs of the students and facilities available at the University.

Phase - III (Before Commencement of final semester examination):
Submission and internal viva-voce      - 40 marks
Phase - IV (After Submission):
Dissertation to be sent for external evaluation      - 60 marks
