The Torchbearer Prof. Diwakar Shastri 'Dada' - Sun, Jan 09, 2011
A name
is an inane identity unless Man proves its worth. The name Prof. Diwakar
Shastri is axiomatic and has fascinated the entire world with its inherent
mettle.
Prof.Diwakar
Shastri - 'Dada' for all the members of the Banasthali family- perpetually
enthused everyone . Since his birth on 9th January, 1932, his name
began to reflect his radiance all around. As a child, he initiated a library in
a village; as a boy, he attained academic laurels; and as a young man, he
impressed and inspired the peers.
Like
Sun, he was the fountainhead of vigour and replenished and nurtured the
Vidyapith during its tempestuous and turbulent times. As dada, the elder
brother, he was an affectionate disciplinarian and inculcated strong moral and
social values among all. His relentless efforts to achieve excellence, not only
for the Vidyapith but also for the educational system of India, were realized
by the world. Numerous awards were bestowed upon him.
Every
moment of the seventy eight years of Dada's life is inspirational and
exemplary. Banasthali Vidyapith salutes its architect and torchbearer, Prof. Diwakar
Shastri 'Dada', on his birthday.
