3rd Radio Award Presentation Ceremony RADIO AWARDS - 2012
• Being
a community radio station, community participation is an important aspect and
radio station strives to implement some innovative ideas to enhance the
community participation. Keep moving on the track first in 2010, Radio
Banasthali started some radio contests to promote the students to work sincerely
and enthusiastically indulge in the activities of Radio .The contests are being
held in month of January and February of every session. End of the contest the
winners are honored by the vice-chancellor during an award presentation
ceremony. In session 2011-12, the contests were held in 4 categories: RJs of the
Year, Anchors of the Year, Editing & Mixing of the year and Best News Reporting
of the Year. None in the campus was left untouched from the radio fever
throughout the contest. The Radio Jockeys were busy giving some excellent shows
and collecting votes; whereas the students in the campus are vigorously engaged
sending their votes for their favorite Radio Jockeys. In addition to the votes,
we have a selection panel of experts set for judging the best and thus, first,
second and third prizes were given to the ones who outshine in many.
• An
award ceremony with the title RADIO AWARDS-2012 was organized on April 18, 2012
at Surmandir Auditorium. The special evening began with warm welcome and
refreshing the memories with the voice of stunning Dada, Who was the first
announcer of the radio station. • Tarun and Aparna, the anchors of the ceremony, shared the facts about the contests and requested dignified faculty members to announce the results. The faculties announced the results of different categories and winners received awards from the honorable Vice-chancellor. It was great to hear some words of encouragement from the Vice Chancellor, who was really pleased to see huge participation in radio. He also praised the uninterrupted transmission of radio programmes for round the year. The Pro-Vice Chancellor and Station Director, Prof. Ina Shastri was truly delighted at the success of the hard-work that was put in and she gave the entire credit of this glory to the staff for their constant efforts and dedication. The ceremony culminated with a vote of thanks by Station Manager, Mr. Lokesh Sharma who expressed gratitude to dignities, colleagues and all other people for making the event vibrant from their efforts. It was undoubtedly an incredible eve at the Radio Banasthali Award show.
