Innovative Programmes

        I.      Grass Root Action and Management (GRAM)

For a twenty-first-century manager and entrepreneur, it is essential to gain a holistic understanding of the relevance of management at various levels. The Grass-Roots Action and Management programme provides this orientation. This programme gives students exposure to native creativity, the uniqueness of the Indigenous Knowledge Systems, and an understanding of the creation and development of the institutions at the grassroots levels.

II.    Corporate Exposure and Training (CET)

FMS-WISDOM’s Corporate Exposure and Training module has been designed around the WISDOM framework: ‘Knowledge-Action-Reflection-Wisdom’. This framework is applicable not only in social contexts but also in corporate contexts. This module provides an opportunity for students to learn from practical working conditions and interact with experienced managers and thereby gain knowledge and wisdom about innovative ways of problem-handling and problem-solving.
The following two methodologies are used at FMS-WISDOM to provide Corporate Exposure and Training to students:

1.      Senior executives from reputed organizations are frequently invited to interact with the students to provide them with an opportunity to discuss critical, strategic, and operational issues that corporate managers face in managing corporate actions.

2.      Students individually or in small groups undertake problem-specific assignments that are of interest to organizations and make a detailed analysis.

III.    Specialized Project Work (Seminar, Term Paper, Business Plan, etc)
The objective of the SPW is to provide an opportunity for students to undertake an in-depth study of a real-life problem in the field of their specialization. This project work helps the students to undertake a diagnostic analysis of a problem situation and arrive at indicative solutions. SPW facilitates industry-academia interaction and is useful to corporate organizations because at times creative solutions emerge to the benefit of the organization.           SPW is evaluated not only by the respective organizations but also by the Institute.

IV.     Short Term Executive Programmes (STEPS)
The Institute also offers a short-term executive programme for women executives, women entrepreneurs, and women leaders. These have been designed after making a need assessment for the training requirements. The institute has been conducting workshops on various management themes for the benefit of participating organizations.
