Listening
Listening to conversations pertaining to different situations in life like:
- Planning for the next day
- Asking the details of anything purchased
- Enquiring somebody of something
- Making a call, to a bus- stand, at railway station or at a doctors, to make enquires.
Speaking
- A dialogue on daily routines and role play to highlight the usage of simple present tense.
- A dialogue on what you all have at home and role play highlighting the usage of : have got, there is, there are etc. and vocabulary related to different rooms in the house, food items, clothes, relationships, one's religious and ideological beliefs.
- Dialogue related to urban and rural life and role play to highlight comparative form and superlatives.
- Pronunciation of basic vowels , diphthongs and consonants; aspects of connected speech.
- Primary Stress
Reading
- Reading elementary texts with narration of past events highlighting all aspects of the past tense.
Writing
- Writing in simple sentences about the past experiences, the present moment and future expectations.
Grammar
- Simple tense required to express the past and present happenings, and pertaining to requests, instructions, acceptance, refusal and explanation.
