It provides students with the basic foundation in networking. Students, who successfully complete this portion of the program, are eligible to earn certificate of "Diploma in Networking" from Banasthali University. However if anyone wishes to get certificate of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) he/ she has to appear in a CCNA final certification examination from any of The Prometric Thomson Learning centre or VUE from all over the world on payment of a prescribed fee. However, if a student gets 80% or more scores in their course module examination they will attract a flat discount of 70% in the form of CCNA voucher. The curriculum includes four separate modules as given under. The curriculum emphasizes the use of decision-making and problem-solving techniques to resolve networking issues. The students learn how to install and configure switches and routers in local and wide-area networks using various protocols, how to provide troubleshooting service, and how to improve network performance and security.
