Banasthali University's 27th Convocation Address to be delivered by Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh

Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh, Emeritus Professor of Political Philosophy from University of Westminster, London, shall deliver the Convocation Address in the 27th convocation of Banasthali University being held on 19th January, 2011.
Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh has been a Centennial Professor at the London School of Economics. He has also been a visiting professor at several prestigious universities including Harvard, Pennsylvania and McGill. He is a widely acclaimed author of several books on political philosophy.
Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh has received Padma Bhushan and Pravasi Bhartiya Samman by the President of India. He has been appointed to House of Lords (2000). He has been felicitated by BBC’s Special Lifetime Achievement Award (1999), Sir Isaiah Berlin Prize for Lifetime Contribution to Political Philosophy (2003), Distinguished Global Thinker Award(2004).
Professor Parekh is among the great British political philosophers of the 20th century included in a book published to mark the 60th anniversary of the British Political Studies Association.
