On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration, Banasthali University is organizing South-West zone inter university Hockey (Women) tournament from 14-21 November, 2008, which is our national game too. This tournament was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the Banasthali University Prof. Aditya Shastri on the 14th November, 2008 at 10.30 a.m. on this occasion the Vice president of the. Vidyapith Prof. Usha Takkar and the. Secretary of university Prof. Chitra Purohit were also present.

The matches were played at Vidula Maidan hockey fields. The Vidyapith has come up with a new hockey field to conduct these matches smoothly. Forty eight entries had been received from all across the country for this tournament. The Boarding & Lodging arrangements were made for all the teams at various hostels in the university campus itself.
