WISDOM, Banasthali University, in association with Indian Business Academy, Bangalore & Greater Noida organized International Conference on “EXPANDING HORIZONS of INDIAN BUSINESS & INDIAN MANAGEMENT” during Jan 15-16 & Feb 19- 20 2008 .

The conference had participations from Sweden, Mexico, Taiwan, Spain, Sri Lanka, etc. besides India to deliberate on topics as diversified as Indian Management & CSR. Business Ethics, Rural Management to Yoga Meditation and Spirituality in Management and contemporary interest.

The inaugural address was given by Dr. M. B. Atherya, a well known Management Guru wherein he stressed upon Rediscovery of Indian Entrepreneurship & Growth of Indian Business. He emphasized on return to Indian Values of Manavatha, Sangha & Dharma, Aatma, Vicharam, Gyaanam and Vikasam leading to Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.

While delivering the chairing note Mr. B. M. L. Jain, Chairman IBA laid on the routes of Indian Business & its relevance in today’s environment.

The welcome addresses were delivered ­­­­­­­­­by Prof. Siddharth Sashri Dean, WISDOM and Prof. Subhash Sharma, Dean, IBA.

Prof. Beng Gustavsson, from School of Business, Stockholm University, released a book on “New Spiritual Foundations of Management Concepts”­_­ from Jaina philosophy authored by Dr. Neetu Jain.

During the conference, eminent management thinkers like Prof. S. K. Chakroborty, IIM Calcutta, Prof. Samir Chatterjee, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia, Dr. N. C. B. Nath Gandhi, Peace Foundation, New Delhi, Prof. J. P. B. Sinha, Prof. Vinayshil Gautam, Dr. Mala Kapadia, Prof. G. P. Rao, Prof. Rajen Gupta, Prof. Sunita Singh Sengupta, Dr Ipshita Bansal etc. graced the occasion with their interactions with the audience .
