Youth must inspirit Gandhi: Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh appeals graduating students of Banasthali

In the 27th
Convocation of Banasthali University held on 19th January , the
chief guest Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh, a renowned 20th century
political philosopher and Emeritus Professor, University of Westminster,
London, focused upon the ailments of the contemporary Indian political, moral
and social system, and, asserted Gandhian thought and techniques as the panacea
to the ills . He urged the young graduating students of the University to
inspirit the Gandhian philosophy.
The convocation ceremony
was coordinated by the vice-chancellor Professor Aditya Shastri .The ceremony
commenced with a homage to Dada. The Banasthali Gitika was the next step in the
ceremony which witnessed 83 gold medals being awarded to meritorious students
and approximately 2500 degrees (Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral)
being conferred.
