At AIM & ACT, the class room training provides the necessary conceptual background to the students. In order to bridge theory - practice gap, it is important that the students get exposed to day to day corporate realities. The objectives of the University-Industry-Linkage Project Training is to expose students not merely to corporate corridors but to the corporate action and work culture.
University-Industry-Linkage project is a salient feature of the Post-graduate programmes in Computer Science and Electronics at Banasthali. This allows the students to fine-tune their skills for the career ahead. The programme have been receiving active cooperation from some leading organisations like TCS, C-DOT, CMC, DCM, HCL, IBM, Barco, NIC, Hughes Software, Siemens, Maruti Udyog, Softek, and also from renowned academic and research institutions like IIT- Delhi, IIT- Kanpur, TIFR, BARC, C-DAC-Pune, NCST-Mumbai, IIITHyderabad and CEERI, where the students have been visiting for the last several years. Often the project trainees are offered jobs by these host institutions upon successful completion of their project.
Objectives of the six months project work is to provide an opportunity to students to undertake an in-depth study of a real life problem in the field of their specialization. Project work helps the students to undertake a diagnostic analysis of a problem situation and arrive at indicative solutions. The project work facilitaties institute-industry interaction and is useful to IT organizations because many times indicative and creative solutions emerge to the benefit of the organization.
Project work is evaluated not only by the respective organization but also by the Institute at the end of the Semester.
